We both thought it was kinda of funny.

She mentioned that she was still working through a bunch of things herself, which is the only reason why I wouldn't call.

And yes, when you're thinking in one language, it is a bit difficult to immediately switch to another.

Yes, well, if you liked her, you can call her, right? Or does it neccessarily mean that something further has to happen then? You could be friends or have more dates to figure things out, or can't you?

I remember seeing this thing on TV a few days ago. It was about american dating. That there are certain rules like the guy has to ask for the number and then he has to call. And if the date is saturday in the evening it means you're defenetly having sex in the end. I thought that was kind of strange, although it might mak things clearer and easier.

But is it right? Do those rules really "exist"?

i think the sex is only guaranteed if the girl agrees to have more than 5 drinks alone with you. the prevailing theories usually revolve around the girl's need to:

1. Feel more relaxed/confident so that the guy will be turned on more.
2. She needs thicker beer-goggles.

truthfully, there is an unspoken rule that a guy can't call a girl for three days after he gets her number. he won't look desperate that way, and it drives the ladies crazy with anticipation. there are alot of other rules too...too much to remember.

but this is all 101 stuff that i'm sure logan's got down packed :)

Almost never. I might hold a beer for a few hours, drink a sip and then pour the rest out (secretly) at the end of the night.

My college friends couldn't stand that about me.

Same here, I usually go to the bars to just hang out and drink coke telling everyone it has rum in it or something.

I once had a friend told me I couldn't throw up after two drinks. I showed him up by throwing up on him after two drinks.

I think, that the 5 drinks might add to the guarantee that sex will be involved. I guess it's easier to seduce (heißt das verführen?) a drunk person.

i find that my luck with the ladies fares better in germany. maybe it's a cultural thing. maybe they think the french accent in my german is somehow appealing, lol.

i'm all for equality...i let the girls call too. not because i know they will...it's the new millenium, let them do some of the chasing too :).
