Logan hates mice and AT&T

Right now, I have two major distractions from my daily ruminations on insomnia, chicks, scratch and the accident:

I hate Cingular / AT&T with a passion. Pure...white...hot...hatred.
I have a mouse, in my house.

Regarding point one, and without getting into details, I've demanded that they write in bold letters in my account notes: We have screwed this man blue (they actually wrote, Client is justifiably upset with our level of service).

I could hate them more - I just don't see how.

Regarding point two, my kitchen is like the DMZ. I've got baits, traps, poisons, and at least one Rube Goldberg/Tom & Jerry contraption - all of which, I think are just amusing them.

Mouse1: What's that?

Mouse2: He put out peanut butter.

Mouse1: SWEET!

Mouse2: No, it's that healthful crap. The kind where the oil and stuff separate...

Mouse1: What the @#$! is wrong with that guy? He needs to get some sleep.

I swear those little bastards are drinking my rum too.

	eek! a mouse! >.< i moved out of my place in berkeley just to escape mice/rats (a neighbor said all of the houses had some, even though i hadn't seen one). didn't want to wait for it to show up and eat me alive, haha. i think captredstar had one a while back too! perhaps he found a good trap? i had at&t for years, until it became cingular, and let me tell you that if they keep former client records, mine is a tome of expletives. horrible HORRIBLE service. customer and technological. they should burn.

and just be grateful none of the mice have died in the walls or pipes of your apartment. that happened to my mother last week and her bedroom smelled something awful.

I've found that the best thing to do is not to call. You should find a local store (not a retailer, but a place owned by Cingular) and speak face-to-face with a person. They have full access to the account system and back-line phone numbers to speak with the escallation line. You can bring all of the bills and have them highlighted before you go with all of the BS.

They are generally nicer anyway because they can't just transfer you or hang up on you. They have to solve the problem or you won't leave. It can take a while, so bring a book or something, but it seems to be the fastest way to sort things out in my experience with any cell phone company.

	Did you see the recent article about the dude who plowed down those six phone towers in Australia with a tank? That's what I call white-hot hatred. about the mouse, I've heard that a ruler balanced on the side of a tall bucket with a blob of peanut butter on the end is a humane way to go. 	I may post about it but it's a long story. Basically - charged me for 9 phone lines and canceled my Sprint lines 30 days earlier than I needed. There's a lot more but that's the latest. Latest bill is $1405.82. (Reply to this) (Parent)(Thread)

i'm not afraid of mice but wild rats maybe.

i have t-mobile now. =D hopefully you'll get out of it. i used to have cingular...one time i made a complaint about them overcharging me on text msgs (which was about $5 tops) but this nice guy ended up crediting me $400 dollars. i didn't pay my monthly bill for a while. =D

	Thanks Daisy - I got out of it but it took another long phone call. I also got a small credit of $25, which is really nothing but I guess I should take what I can get. 	are you molding the food onto the trap? if it's hard food, they can grab it without setting off the trap, but if it's molded on (soft cheese for instance) they are more likely to set off the trap. not sure what is the most humane way. never used poison, but that sounds like it will lead to a stinky dead mouse in the wall.
